Hiya folks.............
...........remember me??! I know it’s been quite a while since I’ve written in my journal. Sorry for the lack of responses in all of your LJ's. Real life has been getting in the way A LOT lately.
First off, HAPPY 26TH BIRTHDAY ELIJAH!! Wow, I can’t believe how the years are passing by. Hope he enjoyed his birthday today.
Mine is a rather boring life. I find it difficult at times to talk about what goes on in my life. I’m not a very good writer so it’s hard to put things down. I’ve been very busy with work, house and kids. I have to say though, that January has come and gone pretty quickly. As I usually feel depressed during this month, it hasn’t been bad at all, thanks to the great weather we’ve had here. Although, now it’s winter as usual. It’s actually snowing as I speak.
I got to see Children of Men last weekend. This is a very powerful movie. Alfonso Cuaron did an excellent job. It’s a pretty depressing premise, but I have to say that I was completely glued to the screen and was totally immersed in the story. Clive Owen was outstanding and, of course, Charlie Hunnam was very good, even though his role was a small one. He played another baddie and he seemed to have channeled a bit of Pete Dunham in this role. I’m just glad it’s his third baddie role and hopefully his last. I would love to see him play another type of character real soon.
I won’t talk about the film, just in case some of you will be seeing it. I have to say that I was extremely disappointed that the film didn’t get a Best Director nomination at the very least. I thought it was at least worthy of that.
